Reserve a Merced River 1/2-Day Trip: Morning or Afternoon
ONLY 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES FROM YOSEMITE VALLEY, our 1/2-day trips cover 11 miles, include parking, wetsuits/paddle jackets (if needed), and a round-trip bus shuttle. Minimum age is 8-12 depending on water levels. No lunch is provided.Later in the season as the snow melt slows, we transition our 1/2-day trips down to “the Gorge”, a 5-mile narrow, scenic section of the river from Briceburg to Railroad Flat. The water is warmer, the air temperature hot, and the lower water rapids are fun and technical. We stop at a calm area for swimming, and guests love jumping off “Jump Rock”. Because of the slower pace (offering fun, technical Class 2-3 rapids…you still wear your life jacket and helmet!) and fun water play activities, clients have said this trip offered more family fun than our higher water trips.
